Everything I have heard is they have to waive him to be sent down. If thats the case, then maybe a move is coming
Now this might change things. Interestingly Keefe said after practice today to not read anything into the lines today, so don't know. Maybe Keefe knew we were claiming him.

Standings of the previous season are where you rank in the waiver order. Once you make a claim, you go to the bottom of the pile. Unless something has changed, I don't know

Elliotte hasn't tweeted anything and he usually does about claims so maybe something is in action. Don't know
This is a really strange move because there isn't a spot for him which means he's likely Marlies bound which would require waivers where Vegas probably claims him again

I believe the prior season is used for waivers before the season begins. Once the season begins the worse team always gets first crack, then so on. I don't believe you go to the end of the line once you make a claim, it's never been that way.

Until November 1, it goes in reverse order of standings from the previous season.
After November 1, it goes in reverse order of standings at present.
There is no such thing is going to the bottom of the list. If five players go on waivers, the lowest ranked team can claim all five of them at once, and another five the next day if they're still in last place.
I noticed you mentioned that teams wouldn't want to lose their waiver priority for certain type of players, but that's completely wrong. There is no loss of waiver priority by choosing a player off waivers.
