He didn't practice every day?Shouldn't be too long he only played 4 games for the Habs.

He didn't practice every day?
Yep. The Habs aren't known for making sound decisions. He's a good Marlie, he doesn't seem to mind being a 13th or 14th forward and he's been with the organization for over half a decade
Why wouldn't we want to have him back?
Think the feeling was they kept a nickel a dozen player instead of the good soldier that had been in the organization since drafted. This should go down as one of the biggest over-reactions to losing a player in recent history. I couldn't believe how nuts some of our fanbase went over a dime a dozen player. Hope they bring him back. If not...meh
Yes, so he had a lot of practice with the Marlies and some practice with the Leafs, but is he practicing with Montreal. He was in the Leaf's system for years
I wanna say yes...but i think Martin Skoula will always take the cake...because it was just pure hilarity and it still lives on till this day. This should go down as one of the biggest over-reactions to losing a player in recent history. Adding Brooks and Clifford to the Marlies should make them that much stronger up front.
On the Marlies as depth? Sure.
But waiving actual nhlers for him? Nah.

I don't see how the Leafs can take him. When Mrazek & Mikheyev return, the Leafs will be back into cap issues. Why should Montreal trade him for nothing when he's depth for them (though maybe deadline fodder)?
Very different situation than Clifford.
I didn't mind Brooks and wouldn't mind him for depth/4th line but I don't see how it can happen.
Well we just claimed a guy that's boarder line NHL level today already
Incorrect.we can't send Brooks directly to the Marlies even if we are the only ones to claim because he spent more than 30 days on the Habs roster.
Leafs would need to waive him again (as Leafs property) to send him to the AHL.
Incorrect.
The 30-day period applies when a player is recalled from the minors. Brooks has not been in the minors this season.
As stated in previous posts, if the Leafs are the only team to put in a claim they can (and they will) send him directly to the minors.
