I agree. Hard to call that one.50-50
Either option is very possible.Either comfortable Swedish win or very close nail-biter win by the Czechs.
Either option is very possible.
Last year the Czechs came back from 2-5 down to beat Finland 8-5. Let’s hope for a similarly intriguing game with another losing experience for the Nordic team.
Sweden has blown many leads like that against Finland..I cant see Sweden blowing the lead like that, its more of a Finland-thing.![]()

That is true but it does happen both ways, the dynamic between Sweden and Finland is crazy. And often it seems in world championships Finland loses in Helsinki and Sweden loses in Stockholm..Im not so familiar with the stats, it might have happened. I just remember senior quarterfinal in 2003 and never get over it.
This is kind of my take too. The Bronze is an honor for us and we treat it like a gold game. Sweden wanted, rightfully, gold and may be a bit off to start. This is not an honor for them. It's a piss off.lolIf you look at motivation... I think the Czechs will have a slight edge as they were not favorites to beat the USA. So they should be hungry to medal.
For Sweden... just devastation..We will see if their players can pick themselves up off the mat
Is he actually starting? Can't wait for Thelin to start another game.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s to never underestimate the stupidity of Swedish junior coaching. Starting a bad goaltender in back to back games would take it to a new level though. Is he actually starting?
I think it will depend on the coaches ego.. How bad does he want to win this? Or is he more concerned he may look silly and open himself to even more second guessing if Gidlof comes in and is lights out.I don’t think Sweden are really up for it today.
