We down 2-0 in the series...

And there's no more Go Habs Go bus messages..

Bad times... Really bad times...

A few observations :
-Montreal market is insane because of fans and medias. It makes sense for the coach to keep things in house and not air his dirty laundry in public. He might appear forgiving in the medias but that's probably the best approach to defend his players publicly and to give 'em hell in private if needed
-What options does St-Louis have ? This roster was supposed to miss the playoffs. He doesn't have the tools. Perhaps his only card is Xhekaj. It's not like he has an all star roster waiting on the sidelines.
-Many fans, medias or other managements would have crucified guys like Anderson, Gallagher, Dvorak last season. This season they were able to turn it around and have a decent impact. If St-Louis had thrown them under the bus early on, would they have reacted the same way ? Perhaps yes. I don't have the answer.
Struble out jackeye in.

Is it just me that feel that the Habs did not deserve to win and have been severly outplayed the last 2 games and that the rhetoric that they have "competed" with Washington is just copium based on the scoreline and not the actual action of the games.

I mean yes, they were kind of lucky to go to extra time in the first match and a bounce could have made them win at that point but overall in that first match Washington deserved to win and won. The Caps outskated, out muscled, created more and were more dangerous overall.

In the 2nd match it's almost a pale copy with the difference that the Habs snatched a lead and fully collapsed 90 seconds later, only to try crawling back fron the dead in the 3rd period and falling short in the end. I mean, yes positive, youngest team in the playoff, learning experience and all these talks about the future is bright. Etc. But it feels like they don't deserved to be in the playoff and they will still be satisfied if they go out 4-0, because they don't lose by 5 goals.

Nobody is provocking anything, except being frustrated after the match. I was happy to reach the playoff but the way it is talked in the montreal media and by MSL that they played well enough is giving me sour taste in my mouth.

It’s embarrassing to watch our team ragdolled all over the ice. And that one goal where Savard and Struble were smoking a doobie behind the arena while 3 Caps were alone in front … deserves a benching till next Feb

I’ve seen Engels be arrogant and condescending on social media. This from guy who came from a craptastic site like Hockey Buzz.

He ought to read the room. MSL is facing all kinds of backlash and scrutiny on account of Arber not playing, so now he’s going to want to play Florian? Doesn’t look viable to me.

That statement coming from Engels kind of surprised me, he’s so full of himself I couldn’t stand listening to him anymore on Marinero’s podcast. Tuned him out about a year ago.
Following a complaint, the OQLF judged that since ''GO'' is an anglicism, it has to be removed. So now it's ''Allez, Canadiens, Allez!''
when I read the story, I almost fell off my chair laughing, just when you thought the French language insecurity thing had reached its lowest point they come up with a new one. Anybody wonder why Quebec isn’t getting a hockey team ?

wow
do you think you Slaf should work a little too?

Juraj Slafkovsky was seething in the locker room after the match:

"There's always something we're missing. Today this, tomorrow that. We need a practically perfect match to win."

- Juraj Slafkovsky, via Patrick Friolet

We just need to play harder, and we haven’t. Everyone here has to improve. It starts with me, more than anyone else. We need to show a different energy and play at home.”

There are additional changes moving forward, starting tomorrow please only refer to him as:
'Voie Hutson'
And when chanting, please refrain from the word 'Ole' and instead use the officially accepted chant of:
'Ayoye Ayoye Ayoye'
