What a dick. You don’t broadcast something like that in the middle of the playoffs.
He’s a reporter not a PR agent. He should do his job and get the Habs to do their job (better). Hughes didn’t reinforce the roster and MSL has not done a sufficiently good job of settling their nerves. It’s all fine, this is all gravy, but reporting it is also fine.

yup
I mean again and then the player is out of the game

No fines or disciplinary action will be imposed for the Capitals players' cross-checks on the faces of Brendan Gallagher and Cole Caufield." - Eric Engels, Sportsnet
Again, this series will be decided by the striped donkeys, if we play like Washington we will be penalized into oblivion. And with Parros the puppet occupying the players safety section.

Does he not work for the station that broadcasts all the Habs games? You don’t identify a potential weakness of the team right in the middle of the playoffs.

Honestly it would be hilarious. Twitter is already exploding over the non calls. 75% of the replies on the two caps win tweets were either people complaining about the refs or people complaining about people complaining.

The NHL can't like that being the story now imagine if the Habs do the same thing and get penalized. The internet will explode

You have a fundamentally flawed understanding of the relationship between the media and their subjects.

If the NHL would allow linesmen to make penalty calls as well imo it would be help rectify the many missed calls. When there is zone play happening and the linesmen are essentially dormant, that’s 2 extra guys who can be looking for infractions. They can also if they are serious have an eye in the sky looking for blatant fouls like a cross check to the face. But they aren’t serious, we know this.

ok if he is not and the team still struggles who you going to go over next?

Oh you know it's still going to be Laine's fault. "it was the bad shift by Laine in game 2 that changed the momentum and now everything is derivative of that".

Laine by butterfly effect, even if he wasn't in the building.

They certainly have not done a great job. All the above cross checks and kneeing and the 1st game cross check/interference icing call. With better refereeing the results could have been very different. But if this is what NHL allows, all habs can do is to do it themselves, hit people without the puck, throw a dirty cross check or knee into every scrum. But in less obvious way than Anderson did last game

💯

Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Caufield
Anderson - Dvorak - Gallagher
Newhook - Evans - Demidov
Heinemen - Kapanen - Armia

Guhle - Hutson
Matheson - Carrier
Xhekaj - Struble

Dobes

Would it be a big disaster? :sarcasm: :DD I know it wont happen but i would love to see it. Main goal of Montreal is achieved - get into the playoffs and as much as i root for MTL it would be a BIG success go to the next round over WAS and conference final would be a little miracle. So why not rest some players for maybe last game of the season and give a experience boost to some young MTL players who were part of getting into the playoffs and they will probably be part of main roster in future?

Free the sheriff and bench Laine for Kapanen

Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Caufield
Anderson - Dvorak - Gallagher
Newhook - Evans - Demidov
Heinemen - Kapanen - Armia

Guhle - Hutson
Matheson - Carrier
Xhekaj - Savard
Center position is awful of course aside from Suzuki

I am convinced that when you have some players that are not going it screws up getting any momentum. In the 3rd with 3 lines the Habs had a terrific period.
With that said I would go 7D 11F.
Play Savard on the PK and pair Xhekaj with Struble.
Sitting one of Heineman or Armia won't make a difference since they have brought nothing, you can even add Laine to that mix.

My lines would be :

Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Caufield
Anderson - Dvorak - Demidov
Newhook - Evans - Gallagher
Armia - Kapanen - Heineman

Guhle - Hutson
Matheson - Carrier
Struble - Savard
