I hope Brian Wilde was just being his usual dramatic self when he said that because that would really suck if true. Head injuries are no joke. Poor Bourque.

injured players don't retire while they still have a contract even if they will probably never play NHL hockey again... They get paid, team gets LTIR/insurance compensation. Look at Savard/Pronger.

Well I didn't hear what he said on the radio to know if he was misquoted, but it sounds like classic Wilde dramatics to me. I wonder if this guy just likes seeing his name thrown around.

In any case, I don't think there's anything worth discussing here in light of those tweets.
