Rumor: Brian Compton - Ladd to Isles

As per Brian Compton of NHL.com he expects Ladd to sign with the isles at 12:01 tomorrow. Tongue in cheek maybe, but sounds like a done deal. He's spending the night on Long Island and is good friends with Doug Weight.

Not sure how I feel about it.

Probably looks nice on JT's wing. Don't feel strongly about it one way or the other. Despite being a Rangers fan I grew up with the Isles in my backyard too. Now that I live in Texas I want to see the Islanders do well. If the numbers are solid it's a sound signing. Not something that gets me excited but not something that repels me either.

He was at the isles practice facility during the prospect camp while Ladd and his wife were getting the tour.

It sounds like Okposo has chosen a team. Buf would make sense. They have the money and Stamkos is no longer availible. Also, Okposo and his wife are really close with Moulson and his wife.

Easy bud. I'm not even sure I'm understanding why we can't pay Okposo but we can pay Ladd. Lucic was a suggestion but my point is Ladd alone doesn't work.

Makes more sense than stammer. Stamkos to buffalo or Toronto never made sense.

Loui Eriksson is the only FA that fits that bill. RW 30g scorer.

Unless we go the trade route which I think is what we need to do. We have prospects picks and some players that can be moved.
