He has the same number of points here as Hayes does there.

I hesitate to say this as I don't want it to be blown out of proportion, but his presence reminds me a bit of Graves when Grave first came over. Toughness. Good team guy. Inherent leadership skills.

Not suggesting BL will score 50. But, to me, there's a similar quality.

His leadership is definitely something I was not aware of. After every game you can see it. He says the right things.

Was going to post the same thing. Similar age, ready to break out with a bigger role. Graves had more NHL success prior to arrival but the point stands.

Think the pace he's at is not sustainable, but he has more skill than some people give him credit for. His production will probably mirror that of someone like Fast (~30-35 points a season) which is totally fine since he brings so many other things to the table

Overall we got pretty good value for an impending UFA... should be able to nab a good prospect with the Jets pick

This is who he reminds me of

Now who out there knows who this is?

Bubba Zanetti looks like the love child of Liev Schreiber and Johnny Lee Miller and behaves like he was co-parented by Ray Donovan and Sick Boy.

No apologies for the OT.

Lol, nice reference TB, never thought I'd see a Bubba Zanetti reference on here but I guess if you're around for almost 20 years you see everything!

I never win anything good. It's like my damn wife. ... I sent her with a friend, though. I worked in Hollywood and Hollywood is an awful, dirty, dangerous place.

Please use a good "husbandie" judgement when publicly writing something like this.

None needed and I rolfed my water as I was drinking. That is quite the comparison.

Just hoping he keeps it up next year. Only too many examples of players tearing it up post trade deadline only to fall off the earth the next season.

Yeah, me too. What’s encouraging is a lot of the points come from very slick moves and/or great decision making rather than dumb luck or being in the right place at the right time.

One of my contributors wrote this post on Lemieux and setting expectations going forward. Would love to hear your thoughts.

New York Rangers: Expectations Of Brendan Lemieux

I think it's important to note the points and goals per game in every season he played. The article reads like he has been a bit of a disappointment in terms of his production and I would vehemently disagree. 43 points in 51 games in the AHL as a 21 year old is very good production. The fact that he didn't eclipse 20 goals in that short amount of games doesn't show a negative against him as it's not a full season worth of games.

I just saw the "hit" yesterday...what a absolutely brutal call. And it wasn't even a Major penalty it was a MATCH penalty. Which means he's currently suspended indefinitely until the NHL reviews it. That had to be one of the worst calls i've seen this season.

NHL needs to rescind that immediately so it's not on his record.
