That's horrible and amazing.

I think he's my new favorite Ranger. I want him and DeAngelo here for a long time. Would love to see Lias step up and start playing like he does.

I won’t complain if LA becomes a solid second liner by the time he’s 25. That might be ambitious, and there’s a difference between hope and expectation, so why hope for mediocrity?

I like him a lot so far. He’s a tough and annoying to play against player who can actually play the game pretty well. Been wanting and needing that here for a few years now. That little backhand saucer to Buch was very smart and executed perfectly.

More subtle but I also very much liked what Lemieux did on Buchnevich’ first goal - not just his assist but also getting back to the front of the net to lift defenseman’s stick to give Buch a chance for a clean third shot. Wonderful effort!

Edit: that stick lift was by Howden. Good for him - he needs a positive play that helps produce points.

Not even sure if Quinn is keeping this line together, but you always hope for one of those random line combinations that have tremendous chemistry right from the first shift; becomes greater than the sum of its parts. Lemieux-Howden-Buchnevich ... you just never know.

Something like that would be hugely beneficial for Pavel, he’s never really had that swagger to dictate or drive plays as a Ranger; there have been some spurts recently.

Lemieux to me is just bred to be a cog on that type of line. He can do dirty work has the energy, and still the ability to setup/finish for his line mates.

Howden is skilled and plays like a golden retriever at the beach. Just don’t hurt yourself kid.

I think I said it during the last game, Lemieux’s arrival has had a huge positive impact on Buch

Lol what a fantastic description of Howden.

Lemieux has done really well so far just like I expected. Good player plus a team in dire need of someone like him will give you good results.

he doesnt have a particularly stellar skills set, so to speak. but he's really effective. there arent many players like him in the league, actually.

Agree- Him and ADA will help get some swagger and passion back then we have been missing, though ADA is not as effective in the "pest" game as BL is.

speaking of pest- Does it 'pester' anyone else watching the game on TV that his stick is white? Against the ice, it always looks like he is skating with no stick and the puck magically stops.. lol. a true agitator that bothers fans as well :)

Yes, but how about his helmet coming off every game, often on the bench, every time he’s in the box, and on one occasion (first game as a NYR) his jersey somehow came off and stayed off for the duration of his minor penalty. He’s a cocky guy and loves to talk. Looking forward to watching him grow as a player, and person. Not that he needs to change too much, his role is partially to ruffle feathers after all

I keep going back to Sergio Mommeso and Marty LaPointe comparisons. That is who I think he can be for this team. Not just a pest, but a very strong, tough & belligerent presence on your middle two lines.

You win!!!
I never win anything good. It's like my damn wife. She's the Queen of Radio Station Drawings. She's won 8 contests in the past three years. It's always like tickets to a show, a year pass to the YMCA, etc. One time she did win $500. She also recently won a trip for two to Hollywood to see the premiere of some stupid Mark Wahlberg film, meet the cast, do some tours, etc. That was kind of cool--I sent her with a friend, though. I worked in Hollywood (not like in movies, I was the business representative for the union at 2 hospitals) and Hollywood is an awful, dirty, dangerous place. Anyway, I forbade her from radio station stuff until she won us the lottery. Hasn't happened yet.

Sorry for the OT.
