As the 2013 season draws closer by the hour, Dave Nonis has been thrust front and centre on the Toronto sports stage. The Maple Leafs are back and, as per usual when something momentous is announced, say the surprise firing of Brian Burke, Leafs Nation is divided. Regardless of how awkward, surprising, and forced the transition may have been, fans are quickly turning to excitement for the return of the NHL as the Dave Nonis era in Toronto gets underway.

They looked ok, but I just like the fact that Nonis intends on getting his fingerprints on this team as quickly as possible. Even McClement, who was signed by Burke, was lobbied hard for by Nonis. He's crazy hungry on the puck and uses his speed well in a defensive/pk role.
