Mr. Make-Believe
The happy genius of my household
Will update thread with proper tag and details as soon as they are finalized.
This is far better than getting a mid round pick. It’s a guy who has developed a bit, highly skilled and ambitious and if he is ever going to be an NHL contributor, we’re going to know far sooner. It's a shame about Braz. I thought he might be something there in the first half but he really faded and couldn't seem to do anything to stay in the lineup.
Lauko is a terrific 4th liner. He's young, cheap and is going to be fun to watch opposite Kastelic.
The prospect is a bonus. Former 37th overall pick. Had a big season in the KHL in '23 and wore a letter as a 21 year old, played all year in the NHL but didn't really find his footing as a rookie. I'm surprised people are turning their nose up at a 22 year old, skilled, two-way center prospect.
