Didn’t expect much for Brazeau after the last few months he had. So this is a win. A solid energy fourth liner and a young forward who hasn’t put it together both cheap RFAs and still got a pick.

I was half expecting it would be Brazeau for a 5th.

I'm really surprised Brazeau has that much value, but I'll take it. Off the cuff, it seems like a steal.

This center is exactly the kind of project I wanted to target. Upside player who has fallen out of sorts with their team. I wish he was a right shot, but smaller detail.

Playmakers, I think, posted a youtube highlight reel of Khusnutdinov. Watch that and just look at how small the players in the KHL are. The refs are 5"+ taller than half the players on the ice.

Khusnutdinov looks very skilled and tenacious, but he's very small. If he hasn't been rendered unconscious every ten games in Minny this season, he should get with Poitras and give Matty some tips.
