Can't see how a 34 year old who hasn't played hockey in two years makes the roster, so much ado about nothing

Doubt he even catches on with the AHL team

Seems like a Demers type situation.

Seems like a Demers type situation.
Probably just throwing him a bone to skate around on an NHL rink again close to home.

He has as much of a chance of sticking around on the Oilers as I do

Interesting signing. Hopefully he still has game left and can actually play. We shall see.

Would have been a great signing 5 years ago. But nothing to lose.

If they have space, they should take a flyer on some of these guys and see if anyone can rise to the occasion. Sutter has experience and would come really cheap if he can still play in the NHL.

Nolan Patrick should also be on our radar

I think he might be along with Colin White. Maybe Devin Shore as well on a 2 way deal? I can see 3-4 PTO’s in camp this fall along with Pederson and Cagguilla to really push Holloway and Lavoie to earn the final 2 spots and beat NHLers out for the 11th and 12th spots. It appears the 13th and 14th spots will be in Bako with a 21 man roster.
