He's good but he's being overrated and overvalued

Brady will probably force OTT's hand to a preferred destination and they will get an underwhelming package like CBJ did for Rick Nash to NYR.

Just calling a spade a spade
I guess only time with tell, but I don't believe he's going anywhere. In fact, I see him signing an extension if the Sens become a regular playoff contender and bring in the right pieces. So many aging teams or soon-to-be rebuilding/re-tooling teams in the East (Boston, Isles, Mtl, Wash, TB). Most of the Sens stars are still entering their prime.

I understand making the post-season is better than living in the basement. Your team, regardless of Stutzle's "superiority" over Matthews, has yet to improve.

It's hard to fathom that some people can be that limited, you really don't get it, do you?

You gotta be trolling

Tkachuk to CHI for

Kurashev
Reichel
Crevier
2025 1st rounder(Toronto’s)
Unprotected 2026 1st(Gavin McKenna draft)

There's nothing there, unless they are very high on Chicago finishing bottom-5 in 2025-26. Very little value/interest in all of Reichel, Crevier and Kurashev. Don't think they'd claim Kurashev and Crevier if they were on waivers. A late first doesn't accomplish much for a player like Tkachuk.

Look at the other proposals and see if this is is even close to realistic

Buffalo offers Owen Power and Alex Tuch.

uh I would do that in a heart beat, doubt the Sabres would pay that price

Sabres offer :
Cozens, Quinn , Peterka and Samuelson.

This is way too much...

I mean, EP40 has played wing, you can also move Norris to wing…they could also look into possibly trading Pinto or Greig or Norris to help at wing…RD also. Just some thoughts. Again, who the hell knows what’s going on or what’s really being said behind closed doors. GM’s and players say all the right things to the media for the most part so they don’t have to deal w the shit storms…and even then it doesn’t matter lol. I’m actually very curious how it plays out in Vancouver w JT back. I didn’t like his interview today…I mean what he said as far as “don’t ask why he left cause he’s not getting into” I’m fine w…it’s just his demeanor and how he said some things. Either something’s going on in that locker room or his wife kicked his ass out…I don’t know. Just didn’t seem like he was doing okay

Yeah but that's the problem, make that trade and then have to figure out how to fill the wings. None of Norris or Pinto have much history at wing. Greig could be moved to 3rd line C (a position he is better at than Wing) and Pinto could be moved to Wing as of now to rediscover his offensive game. Making that trade rises the need for Wing, which is not a way teams trade (dealing from a position of strength to fill a position of need)

In the current situation, if the Sens trade Tkachuk it is because he doesn't believe in the group anymore (he says the opposite of course) but the needs don't change. Sens would likely would want less proven forwards who can paly wing and picks or a 1 for 1 for another impact forward.

The thing is Tkachuk is 16th in GPG and 17th in PPG among all Wingers since 2022-23. Would need to check for just LW but he's surely Top-10 in both categories. We all know he does a lot more on the ice.

So considering he's an Elite winger and the Sens biggest need is already on the Wing, it doesn't make sense to trade him for a Center and then create bigger needs.
