Rent free Sens guy chimes in, remember last week you had the most posts in a Sens thread lol. Closet Sens fan folks.
Because the way Ottawa has locked in their core is really paying off.
Yeah, because our dead owner and fired GM and head office are totally relevant. At least our teams excuse is being broke not having endless money in executives and still incompetent.

Yep #1 Sens fan, obsession with them is weird though.Your new onwer ain't faring much better.
Hey look, my #1 fan is keeping tabs on me. Cool!

Let us know when the leafs wins 3 rounds for the first time in history.
Why are you so obsessed with the Sens?Never mind him. Some Sens fans think you should gut your team for a supposed captain who can't get his own out of the basement.
Wait til Tkachuk walks at the end of his deal. You know it's coming.
The unicorn you speak ofSlafkovsky for Lafreniere? Habs decline. Remember when Lafrenière was a bum, and look at him now right? Well Slafkovsky is a unicorn, watch in a couple years
Obsessed. Cringe.
It’s so strange. Based on his post history, all he talks about is the Senators. His post history is hilarious.
He spends more time talking about the Sens than the Leafs.
Laff as a player aint far off production wise from brady and is locked up until July 1 2032. Its the worst kept secret that brady aint resigning with ottawa in 2028. Probably makes sense to get laff + 1st + kandre. Just not sure the rangers would pay that muchDarn, then I guess we’ll just have to hang on to him.
I mean, EP40 has played wing, you can also move Norris to wing…they could also look into possibly trading Pinto or Greig or Norris to help at wing…RD also. Just some thoughts. Again, who the hell knows what’s going on or what’s really being said behind closed doors. GM’s and players say all the right things to the media for the most part so they don’t have to deal w the shit storms…and even then it doesn’t matter lol. I’m actually very curious how it plays out in Vancouver w JT back. I didn’t like his interview today…I mean what he said as far as “don’t ask why he left cause he’s not getting into” I’m fine w…it’s just his demeanor and how he said some things. Either something’s going on in that locker room or his wife kicked his ass out…I don’t know. Just didn’t seem like he was doing okayKleven not for trade. Well, Tkachuk isn't too technically but I guess it depends on how the team performs for the rest of the season. They're only playing for 0.500 but if you watch the games, they have dominated the majority of them but sometimes struggle to convert on their chances or get the extra save (Ullmark seems to have settled in finally and has been really good his last 5 starts. Forsberg is unfortunately done, can't get over his double knees injury). They're still close to a playoffs spot. Even if they miss, Tkachuk might want to give this team more time with his friends, sort of like Leafs players not leaving despite all those 1st round losses.
So all that said, due to Dorion's mismanagement, Sens can't afford to trade any young cost controlled asset for now. So Kleven, JBD, Greig, Ostapchuk and even Pinto are not available
You can remove Hoglander, Kudryavtsev and Silovs from the equation, interested in getting Desharnais and Heinen though
Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
Giroux - Stutzle - Gaudette
Greig - Pinto - Heinen
Cousins - Ostapchuk - Gregor
Amadio
Chabot - Jensen
Sanderson - Desharnais (Zub)
Kleven - JBD
Matinpalo
Interesting. I would do it but it's because I am not emotionally attached to Tkachuk. The whole Sens organization and a lot of Sens fans seem to be though.
Ottawa wouldn't need Cozens to play at Center so maybe he could just focus on his offensive game with them. Byram can play both sides which is a luxury and an insurance policy if one of Chabot/Sanderson is injured. Plus Kulich and a pick make it interesting
That said I wouldn't a package around Peterka or Tuch. Obviously Peterka would be preferred due to his connection to Stutzle. Crazy that the Sens didn't draft lol (Dorion self-damage never stops)
That'd be awesome but I guess it really depends on how much he wants as an extension.
The value is there but Sens already have Stutzle, Norris, Pinto, Greig and Ostapchuk at Center, their needs are on the Wings. Unless they trade Norris and go with a Stu-Petersson duo at C... but then they get really weak on Wing because after Tkachuk and Batherson there is :
- 36 y/o Giroux (age is catching up)
- 36 y/o Perron (age is catching up plus personal/injury problems)
- 28 y/o Gaudette who still isn't really proven long term
- 22 y/o Greig who is just a sophomore and can't be relied on to produce offense yet
Sens don't have depth on Wings and that is the most glaring weakness on the team after Hamonic and Forsberg so if they're trading Tkachuk, they have to keep this in mind
