Hynes might not have been the issue. The team has problems matching players and coaches. That is a GM issue ... Poile in his latter years and Trotz so far.

Blankenburg has nice speed and seems good with the puck on his stick but he gets run over...a lot. Tonight against a good team that plays a heavy style it really stuck out.

Give it a few more games and I think we'll start realizing the he's just a undersized poor man's Ellis. Or maybe just a less skilled Samuel Girard.

For all his flaws, Hynes managed to get career bests from nearly all our guys. It may have fallen short collectively and there were gaps systematically, but players were able to succeed individually.
