I've seen him get a lot of passes in his feet or behind him... so there's thatIs Kreider playing today?
I hope it’s that. But it’s definitely not how our whole team plays. Just the skill guys. You know, there really important ones.Without making excuses for him, because I agree, I would suggest that maybe it’s a lack of confidence. When you’re getting talked to about being too aggressive on the forecheck and getting caught in deep, and then you’re being told you’re being too safe and not putting any pressure on, and then you’re told you should have dumped that and not tried to make a play, and then you’re told that you’re dumping the puck too much... eventually you’re just coasting around because you’re afraid to commit to skating in ANY direction. If I go in hard on the forecheck I might get told I over committed. If I go hard on the back check I might be told I’m being to passive and not presenting a breakout option for us to get offense going. I don’t know wtf to do, so I just float around hoping for a loose puck.
And to be fair, that actually seems to be how our whole team plays, not just Laf.
I think it’s because if you didn’t go to college Quinn doesn’t understand how to communicate with a player.
I just want them to play with energy and not be so passive.I don't know how much you can expect from this lineup. Huge gaping holes throughout. You can't win in this league with the center ice play the Rangers get most nights. It's like trying to win in the NFL with a bad QB. You can't.
we did it against the same exact team 2 days ago.I don't know how much you can expect from this lineup. Huge gaping holes throughout. You can't win in this league with the center ice play the Rangers get most nights. It's like trying to win in the NFL with a bad QB. You can't.
They are both responsible but if he’s not playing well A)Why is he in the lineup and B)Why hasn’t the coach attempted to address what his problems are and fix them? The answer to that question is because Quinn doesn’t have the ability or skill as a coach to do so. He rarely if ever puts his players in the best position to win, specifically the forwards. So you're saying Kreider is in no way responsible for the way he plays?
We definitely need competent centers to drive the offense. Its not a surprise we cant generate offense... WE need to make trades that some of us may not like but we need a top flight center.I don't know how much you can expect from this lineup. Huge gaping holes throughout. Quinn is personally responsible for all bad play and each player is personally responsible for rising above Quinn’s oppressive influence when they play well. It’s simple. So you're saying Kreider is in no way responsible for the way he plays? We may as well just dissolve the team because not all of the players are going to be firing on all cylinders every game and the coach won't be able to perfectly work with each player on every single deficiency until they are completely resolved.
That people don't understand Kreider is a streaky player this far into his career is mind boggling.
They had 1 in the 1st, Buch missed wide from 15 ft. out completely alone in the slotI didn't watch the 2nd too closely (I value what's left of my sanity), but I don't recall a single bona fide scoring chance for the Rangers all game long.
Is that accurate?
By diagnosing their problem and attempted to fix it and then developing a coaching strategy that leads to fixing the problem and putting the player in the best position to succeed. Simple stuff. Try to keep up here.
"Listen, covid affects everyone differently"... its been 2 months are we still giving him that excuse ?Zib looks like he has lead boots and heavily weighted wristbands
Zib looks like he has lead boots and heavily weighted wristbands
And you havent shown how a coach makes a streaky player consistent. Does he use a conjuring spell?
having good structure can mask many holes. We are playing a team icing McKegg and Kampfer. They have holes too, no excuse
