Everyone wants a developmental coach and then when he benches a young player because he isn't playing well they don't connect the dots that thats what he is doing. If we want Lafreniere to succeed he cant be handed ice time when he's coasting around. I realize he isn't the only one but its not the older players they are trying to mould.

Mika has been horrible but do has everyone. No one has been good with maybe the exception of Hajek

Agreed, this is my opinion on Blackwell overall though not just today. He’s good but miscast in the top 6 and on the PP. He will be most effective, both for the team and for himself, playing on an energy line where he can buzz around and forecheck and cycle and get some goals the way he has so far - tips in front.

No, he was out there. He just switched to strome's line. He seemed like he wasn't on the ice, but he was. That's the issue when you're trapped in your own zone and the team can't make a basic outlet pass.

B's have been on every blue sweater like gnats to lights. Perfect response game by them. Listen, the other team tries too.

For a “development” coach hes done a bad job at developing forwards. Literally no one is playing well, why is laf still the only one getting shafted. And what about last game, his best in the league so far where Johnny Brodzinski had 1 less minuet then him

If I had to rate the forwards currently in the lineup on actual NHL caliber, rather than what they’ve done in limited time in this terrible season, it’s basically:

Zibanejad
Kreider
Buchnevich
Strome
Lafreniere
Howden
Lemieux
Blackwell
DiGiuseppe
Gauthier
Rooney
Brodzinski

When Strome, completely unproven rookie Lafreniere, Howden, Lemieux are your #4-7 forwards you’re absolutely atrocious and abysmal. It’s literally worse than what we ice in the preseason sometimes.

There’s a difference between “not playing well” and “not scoring a hat trick every shift” which is what Quinn apparently requires of his young high skill prospects in order to earn more ice time.

The next forward he successfully develops for the Rangers will be his first.

Rangers aren’t playing for each other this game. A loss can be useful if it builds chemistry and cohesion. We have no spirit or spunk. Lindgren can’t do it alone.

It’s the coach’s responsibility to make sure his players are playing to the best of their ability. That is literally the number 1 thing coaches are responsible for. Why is this a hard concept to grasp for the Quinn Websters?

So Mika whiffing one timers is Quinn's fault? I just gave you examples how not a single coach has cracked the Kreider code but Quinn must be fired because he hasnt figured out Kreider or the other passengers on this team?

If you want to blame personnel and ice team, sure. A coach isnt going to give Kreider magic juice to not be streaky or wake Ziba from being a husk.
