The Columbus Dispatch: Bobrovsky out "4-5 weeks"

More like:

"It's the latest injury blow for the Blue Jackets, who have suffered 105 man-games lost through Tuesday's game. Currently, right wings Marian Gaborik, Nathan Horton and Jared Boll, center Derek MacKenzie and, now, Bobrovsky are on the shelf."

Blah, blah.... get past it Portzline...

Time for the team to suck it up and play well in front of both goalies. This can be a rallying point for the team. A bigger concern is still the offense and scoring goals.

Moreover, if the team has any self respect at all they will rise up and win for our back up goalies...

But in the end scoring is an issue, just check the league stats...

Pointing out man games lost isn't creating excuses, its a simple fact. We haven't been healthy this year.

If the team were to make a deal - and that's a big if - then I would have to think that it would be a rather minimal deal. So, no Ryan Miller, no Jonas Hiller, and so on. The way you have to look at it is; Curtis McIlhenny is the backup for Bobrovsky ... why do you go and throw out major assets to fill a gap for (at most) 5-6 weeks; only to have a trio of guys after the injury is done with?

I say, stay the course. Put the onus on the defense to keep the shots out wide ... maybe the team will band together and play like they did down the stretch last year? If not, it's not like we're at the top of the division.

Hope Bob heals properly, above all else!

I just can't see JD making a big move and adding another top tier goalie for five weeks. The guys are just going to have to step up their game, LIKE THEY DID LAST YEAR, and give Mc and Mac the support they need to help us ride this one out.

I hate groin injuries nearly as much as I hate the dreaded "high ankle sprain".

Hopefully he doesn't rush back.

All the Russian goalies in the NHL are in troubles. Everyone is injured and Varlamov is under investigation. Must be a US conspiracy in Olympics year... That's what some Russian hockey people are saying :sarcasm:

All those Mac/Mc guys from Scotland are tough. The Braveheart movie with Mel Gibson is about the Jackets' next 5 weeks.

But, But he dies!

But, But he dies!

But not before he puts an heir on the throne of England with a really hot French Queen (soon to be at the time of his death, at least). I can say enough good things about Sophia Marceau.

[\spoiler]
:p

I think we'll survive and see little difference without Bob. What I'm concerned about is whether this injury ends up being a nagging thing this year and turns into a bit of a lost season for Bob. So far it has, we don't need any other adversity with him. I'm kind of hoping he doesn't play in the Olympics (for selfish reasons).

She was in that atrocious Bond movie that featured Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist. Richards regurgitates her lines like she's reading off a cue card, which, come to think of it, she probably was.

But, But he dies!

Well, I think the Jackets are not gonna win the Cup this year and eventually this season is gonna die as well.
But I won't mind if instead of the Braveheart we will see another saga about Scottish guy who's name starts with Mac. I mean Highlander and Connor MacLeod. First episode we've witnessed tonight :handclap:

bob has a lockerroom stall in Carolina and will be traveling with the team...he could be a couple weeks away from being back...guessing the first full week of January
