Pretty neat find today at a flea market. Paid $15 and upon further research I found one that sold online a few years ago for $140! Good deal. It’s an original 1971 menu from the Bobby Orr’s Pizza Parlor located in Oshawa, Ontario. There was originally a location in Oshawa, and the chain expanded to a few additional locations in Toronto. It was pretty short lived - more growth was planned throughout Ontario but it went out of business in short order.

Tim Horton’s, it was not.

Love the early “photoshop.”

Slim chance, but did anyone on here ever eat there?

I wonder how many other failed chains (using a star’s name) there have been?

No wonder they didn't succeed... just look at those prices!

$1.90 for a large spaghetti w/ meatballs

$3.75 for a large, 3 topping pizza

Just 40 cents for a salad?!?!?!

Did any of you oldtimers ever eat there?

Don Cherry had a failed bar and restaurant. There was one up here in the Soo, but it didn’t last long. It probably wasn’t a smart idea putting it in a basement of a building that had another restaurant right up above it.

In 2008, I visited an Eddie Shack Donuts in Caledon Village (a small rural community about 10 km south of Orangeville, Ontario). It wasn't very good, and has since closed. Apparently there used to be locations in Guelph and Richmond Hill as well.

Ironically, the franchise created by Shack's lontgime teammate Tim Horton now operates out of the Caledon Village location.
