Let me just say I absolutely love Bob Miller!! His Voice is MORE to the Kings than Luc was as a player. Watching the games this past season, I've noticed that Bob is making more and more mistakes.

While watching the game against the Wild, I ran into another room but was still listening to the game, and it was a COMPLETE different experience than watching the game. If you watch the highlights, you will see him call a goal by Kopitar, when it was actually Williams. This 100% reminds me of Harry Carry and the Cubs. It's pretty damn funny when you listen to it. He calls goals by players retired for YEARS (Luc), he called Regehr by another name 20 times so far, he calls Bernier Quick, Doughty Muzzin, and when you can tell he's totally confused he says "By the Kings" and 10 seconds later, he says the players name involved in the play. 100% funny as hell in my opinion! I watch games, laugh and cheer when we win and get mad, and laugh some more when we lose. It almost makes up for it when we lose. On that note...

Is something wrong or is it just bad eye sight? Have any of you noticed this before too? I've met the man many times back when they played at the forum, and he seemed pretty down to earth and fast on his feet, but that was 20 years ago or so. I hope he stays around another 20 years, cause the game just wont be the same, Kinda like it is now without Dave Courtney announcing goals and whatnot. "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Stanley Cup" R.I.P. Dave we still miss you.

Whats your opinion?

He's 74. And yet, even at his age and tons of name blunders, I DREAD the thought of a Kings game that he doesn't call. Best of all time.

He's an old man, his eyes and brain aren't gonna be as sharp as in the past. I doubt new glasses will fix anything and if anything it's probably only gonna get worse from here unfortunately. That being said, Bob is the one I want calling my games, I don't care if he says Paul Coffey scored on a pass by Charlie Simmer, I can read the numbers myself if I have to :)

Same thing happened with Chick Hearn during his last few seasons. It's just the age.

It's a combination of funny annoying embarrassing and confusing... But its also bob miller so he gets a 100 percent pass.

Yep, I remember this as well. Even legends age.

Bob's getting old...like a fine wine.

Bob has earned the right to make any mistake he wants at this point

Agreed.

Brown = Lewis. I don't cringe anymore when he says it, I know its coming. He always apologizes, and you just know he feels bad about getting it wrong, but its Bob, and I want him broadcasting games as long as he wishes to.

He looks great for 74 I had no idea he was that old. I would have guessed late 50s early 60s. Dude is the best in the business.

He could mess up every single name and I'd still rather have him calling the game over anyone else. I know who has the puck, I don't need Bob telling me, but hearing his voice during play reminds me that this is the team I grew up watching.

Bob Miller was never as polished as Scully or Hearn but every bit as beloved by fans. I worked at borders books for a period of time and we hosted his book signing. I got to hang out with the guy for a couple hours and he just loves talking hockey. We were having a bad season that year and he was refreshingly real and honest about the team. I'm just happy they got him a cup before retiring.

I really think Nick Nickson should get the job when Bob retires. I don't get to listen on the radio very often but when I do Nick and Darryl are among the best I've heard.

I agree I dread the day he wants to step down. But I have heard him say in the past he maybe wanted to get a deal like Scully where he didn't have to take all the long trips. And it would give us someone that we'd be able to get use to. At the time they told him no but things change and they might consider it.

He's seems to have problem seeing the second number on the jersey, mistaking 11 with 14 and 23 with 22. No big deal, he'll always get a pass.

Yes, I agree. Bob Miller and Nick Nickson have transformed hockey for me and I imagine, many of us. We don't need his help to see what is happening, but it makesthe games so much more enjoyable.

I can't tell you how estatic I was that he got to announce the Kings as Stanley Cup Champions. He really deserved that.

I don't care if he makes mistakes, he has given me more hours of entertainment while listening to games since my teen years.

It will never be the same without him when he decides to retire.

I remember people complaining about Harry Kalas in Philly when he didn't have as good of eyesight as he used to. Now we have to listen to some of the worst announcing in baseball. I'm so jealous of the Dodgers having Scully.

Legends get old but I would still rather listen to them even after they can barely make out a jersey number then anyone else. There's just so much passion and love for the team.
