Don't know if it is in another tread but Bob deserves a thread

How sad. I'm glad he's doing well, but that still takes a toll on the patient and family.

Yeah, it's emotionally exhausting for everyone involved, poor guy.

I hope he can finish this season on his own terms while enjoying his time.

This season will probably be Bob's last. Hope he can get back to finish it out.

Strangis would be a fine replacement.

I wholeheartedly agree, Ralph would be a fantastic replacement, but I think it might be Nick's job to turn down (unless there's something I don't know, which is possible )

Update: Miller's daughter posted this AM: "Dad doing well. No worries, just running tests. Thank you again for your prayers."

That's good news. Miller's one of the classiest guys in the sports realm. Best of luck to him for a speedy recovery and healthy 2017

All I hope is for Bob to feel better, get rest, and to stay healthy. If he calls his final game this season, I hope that he gets a proper send off like we witnessed the Dodgers do with Vin Scully this past season.

Most of us all grew up learning about the game of hockey through Bob's narration, and I will forever be grateful that we were blessed with him, Chick Hearn and Vin Scully, the three greatest story tellers in the history of their respective sports.

I too grew up during the 80's and 90's listening to Bob and it will be a big hole in the game when he leaves..Get well Bob.

Wish nothing but the best for Bob and his family. If this is truly the end, hopefully he gets healthy enough to come back at least one last time

Nick wants to stay on the Radio side.

He's fantastic there. I always wondered about that; I know a lot of friends in radio have no desire to do TV and vice-versa so even though a lot of us see that as a rightful promotion it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Well said, cheers.

Get well soon, Bob. You're the best. (It's like how you can tell your dad he's the best dad ever)

I haven't clicked on this thread until now. I've been trying to avoid it because I just don't want to face it. Too painful.

It's a good thing they took him in for precautionary reasons or the minor stroke could have turned into something bigger. I hope he gets the care he needs to hopefully prevent another one in the near future.

From the latest 30 thoughts...

30. Walking into Staples Center last Saturday, we saw legendary Kings’ play-by-play voice Bob Miller sitting up on a stretcher. He looked at us and said, “Looks like I’m out for the skills competition tonight.” Was great to see that, because everyone was worried. Get well soon, Bob.

Gotta love Bob's sense of humor. He'll only be on IR for a short while. ;)

Did anyone else hear them say last night that he had another surgery? Wondering if that is legit or if they were just confused.

Yeah, I heard that on the broadcast too. They said he had a surgery on Tuesday. I haven't seen any other comment so don't know if that was true or they misunderstood something. Prayers for Bob's recovery

If he had a minor stroke, which was being reported during the All-Star break, I imagine surgery is a forgone conclusion to clean that up so he doesn't have a major stroke.
