I’d settle for winning the 8 game series, even if it’s just by one point.

Absolutely. Taking 9 points in our 8 games against the Wild would put us right on track for the playoffs.

But taking 2 of those 9 tonight would create some separation that would be very welcome. 6 points up on Arizona and 7 points up on LA (in one extra game played) sounds a hell of a lot better than 4 and 5 point leads. A regulation win and a regulation loss for Colorado would put us closer to 2nd than 5th.

I'll take 9 points against the Wild this year but I would really, really like for 2 of them to come tonight. Win tonight, take 3 or 4 points from the Ducks and wake up Monday sitting 5-10 points up on the Coyotes and 10-11 on the Kings. The Kings just took 2 regulation losses from the Sharks and are off this weekend. Then they play in Vegas Monday/Wednesday. We have a chance to put them in desperation mode where they need to take 3 points off Vegas just to stay within squinting distance of the playoffs.
