I wouldn’t doubt that several of our players were under the weather today. Their worst game of the season by far and that seems to be the only logical explanation.

They need to learn how to come out of the gate - hopefully this beating will help with that.
The Blues have learned what it takes to beat us - a relentless forecheck and targeting of our best players - -and there was no push back.
If the Jets do nothing else, they better get some snarl back in their game and no freebee's when it comes to running out guys.

Anyway, with that out of the way, we're up 2 - 1 and likely learned something in this game. Give an inch and they'll take a mile.

I'm not sure they've officially acknowledged it but Kelly Moore is on the official broadcast so I assume he'd have some info.

Yeah I was very disappointed that no one was pushing back physically tonight, especially once the game was out of hand. The Blues have been running us all series and we saw a body check effectively took Kyrou out of the game on Monday. Would’ve liked to have seen more snarl.

I think the eternal optimists on this site, and I'm not mentioning anyone specifically, are clinging on to the hope that this embarrassing performance was because of an illness that spread to the team. To me, it just seemed like another typical, fragile Jets playoff performance, right down to the unbelievably shit goaltending.

Lots of lessons learned tonight and Arniel attempting to play Schenn in the top 4 was one of them. Although it didn’t last very long. Forwards needed to help out the D more and not starting flat footed are just a few. The Blues are a very good team and if you underperform across the board this will be the result.
The Jets can stew about this for 2 days and make amends on Sunday.
If you are going to win a Cup the lows can’t be too low but learning from mistakes will go a long way.

The Jets were going to lose at least one game. They were not going to sweep the Blues. This, however, was an embarrassing display from top to bottom and they should feel ashamed of themselves with the effort.

Yeah that one you can kinda throw most of the strategy out the window... Jets didn't match the Blues intensity for majority of the 60 mins.

I'm sure they will be better for Sunday afternoon.

Disappointing but will be forgotten if we can bounce back and get the win next one.

The pressure is still on St louis. If they lose the next game, they are down three games to one. If the Jets lose, it is tied at 2 and we're coming home for a best of three.
I didn't think we were sweeping them.
