Worst game in the metric all season. The next worst isn't even close at -2.61

Second worse game for him in this metric in the last 3 regular seasons

I am not too worried as Helle rarely has two bad games in a row so I expect a great performance from him on Sunday but kinda frustrating that Game 3 and Game 1 of the playoffs rank as his worst and 4th worst starts in gsax through 66 starts this season.

The rest of the team was ass too. I blame Kyle Connor for the first 2 goals which set the tone of the game

Already priming myself to people here overreacting at Helle's typical "I thought I was feeling the puck really well and didn't mind my game" press conference that he always does after a game like this.

we've bounced back all year long, lets have faith we can do it again, demelo is a massive loss to the d, we already have some forwards slotted in above where they should be playing so losing demelo also forces that for the d as well, flush it, and hopefully we can get some guys back for game 4, remember we are the team up in the series right now

They beat the tar out of us physically in the 1st. Our 2nd was fine, especially if you count the goal. Gus goal it was a game. But the giveaway was the start of the end.

I know it's just one game, but after 3 games:

- We can't kill a penalty
- Our power play is meh, at best
- We have two lines that can't score
- Helle is in playoff form

Sunday will tell the tale I guess. It will say a LOT about whether this year really is different or not

So on one hand … every playoffs is the same - one or more of our top sixers gets hurt, the defence is a disaster, there’s no depth scoring, no pushback other than Lowry, and Hellebuyck goes to shit. Part of me is concerned because this team hasn’t shown any ability to bounce back from adversity in the playoffs since 2018.

But on the other hand, the Jets have responded fairly well to poor games this season, I expected we’d have one stinker in St. Louis, Arniel seems to actually make adjustments and I think the Blues probably blew their load this game — I don’t think that level of play from them is sustainable.

IIRC we lost Game 3 against Minny in a similar style and Helle was also pulled that game, and then look what happened.

Game 4 will tell me a lot. If we don’t show up again, we are cooked IMO. Whoever takes that game will take the series IMO, so why not us?
