I should have been more specific. I haven’t been impressed with these two in the past two games. They are our best players and they need to play as such. 55 especially has the ability to put the team on his back and be a completely dominant player, but he hasn’t been. He’s been ‘fine’ but not what I know he’s capable of.

connor and scheifele are great but they are not capable of carrying a team every game in a entire series, they were the reason we won the 1st 2 games, we needed something from other players and have not got anything close. blues are doing a good job making sure they finish every check on them and were not doing the same to their top players

True. Problem is when the Jets lose a hole, they tend to lose the next 3 too. Murat just posted that the Jets haven't won another playoff game in a series after losing one since 2019.

Glad deadline acquisition Luke Schenn is turning things around with his physical play...

Seriously though, Stanley-Miller was fine all season. Maybe sit Schenn for a few dozen games and see if it helps.

He was great the first two games not so great these past two games.

The coaches and players need to figure it out and figure it out quickly.

Status quo like what we saw today by Arniel after the last two games isn't acceptable.

Not one of the lines has been going the last two, time to pull out the blender to try something to spark this group.

I think the thing that has really hurt the Jets is the PP and PK.

Our PP% has gone from 28.9% in the reg season to 16.7% in the playoffs

Our PK% has gone from 79.4% in the reg season to 66.7% in the playoffs

We were the clear better team until Helle let in the long range point shot and then the team fell apart.

Seems to me it's a group that doesn't have confidence in him right now.

Not an excuse but JoMo and a Blues player just skated in front of Helle along with Tanev trying to block the shot from the point … how does Helle see it?
If Apples shoots for top glove side and scores instead of hitting the post it’s 2-2. And we can talk about beating Binnington high glove side right?

I wouldn't blame anyone if they cancelled their season tickets if the Jets re signed Apples. Generally don't hate of Jets players but he is a waste of a 35 second shift.

This is it right here.

When you don't feel like the goalie is going to make the save you start getting in lanes instead of giving shots, you aren't as aggressive pinching, you second guess plays.

Helle has had some awful luck but he's not getting it done.

I said before the playoffs started that how Helle plays well determine our fate full stop and that's playing out right now.

Where's the fire? Binnington is an asshat but he's battling and playing confidently.

Exactly. I know people will blame defensive play and at times it's been bad, but for the most part we've been good enough defensively this series.

We need to score more and we need some saves.

Helle is sporting an .800 save percentage this series. It's hard to blast the rest of the team when you are getting that awful of goaltending. The fact that the series is tied with our goalie playing that badly is remarkable.

If Helle can get it together we take this series. If he can't we are fighting an uphill battle as this team was designed to win lower scoring games not 5/4 barn burners like the Oilers for instance.

The way Minnesota is playing F**k Vegas presently I don’t think we’d be faring any better against them either.
This team is not built for playoff hockey, it’s pretty obvious now.
Year 1 ok, year 2 trending, year 3 pattern established.
I’m going to say we will win this in 7.

You are so right here, we have to show some grit and deep down character, and get this huge Gorilla off our backs, and prove this team is not a 1st round choke team.

Not going to really get into the weeds with this one because this just stinks right now.

That said, I'd really love to see this team get the lead, play with it, and head into an intermission with it. These late goals conceded f***ing suck.

The Jets bread and butter has been playing as a front runner all year. Get the lead, lean on structure, and have goaltending take it home.

Between shotty goaltending, or late starts from skaters, it's just been not nearly good enough to match the identity they need to play with to have success.

Maybe our defensemen could actually engage a Blues player, maybe tie up their stick, couple of well placed slashes. Letting them have free run is not working.
