Making the playoffs is fun I don't give a shit if they get swept. I didn't think we'd be even close to the playoffs at this point in the season.

You are not saying anything most people don't already know. They are not good enough to make any real noise even if they got in. The Rangers are ahead of schedule with some nice talent, a good prospect pool, and 2 more 1st rounders this year. They will be real contenders in 2 years.

We weren't even supposed to sniff the playoffs this year. This year was all about developing the kids and keep improving which has been done.

For us to even be even in the playoff hunt is all gravy and part of the bonus plan. Next year...yeah we should be a playoff team.

2 years from now we should be ready to make a serious playoff run. And after that well we gotta hope we can contend seriously for some Cups as we'll likely have a 3-4 year window as the Cytils', Kakko's, Fox's, Kravtsov's...all approach their mid 20's.

Rebuild is going pretty damn good and there really isn't much to complain about other than maybe the Lias hiccup and Kravtsov not being here yet. Other than that, I don't know how any Ranger fan can't be extremely optimistic about what the future of this team looks like tho there are a few in here who won't be as it's against the religion apparently to think positively about the trajectory of the team...lol

I was one of the smith votes. Thought he was good. He’s been at least as good as Brady Skjei 99% of the time.

Hurts even more seeing this when you know the goal Georgiev gave up. He did not have a difficult night. If he has aspirations to be a #1 goalie in this league then that garbage just cannot happen. Otherwise he will always be a 1B Backup and unfortunately we were without our 1A future in Igor that could have been the difference.

They gotta find a way to get Gauthier more ice time IMO. His hands might be a bit behind his speed and thinking but there's so much skill there. His size and speed alone makes him an obvious Kreider substitute both in a bigger role in the top 6 and on the PP.

Where did i say bench Lemieux? I said choose someone else for the PP2 and the 6-on-5. It hasnt been working with Lemieux in those spots. Try someone else. Try Chytil or Gauthier with the net empty there.

Everything Quinn does with Lemieux in terms of PP2 and 6-on-5 when down he needs to switch to Gauthier like yesterday.

I'd also like to see him get a shot higher up in the lineup but that may not come until after next year's camp.

Once Igor went down, and to an extent Kreider, I figured the playoffs were going to be even more of a longshot. That being said, this team is going to be legit good in a couple of years.

Great game from a young team against the SC champs. Lost due to a combination of a slight deflection and the fact that we had our #2 goalie in nets. Frankly, I thought the Rangers carried the majority of play.

Also, individually, great signs from Kakko, Gauthier, and Howden. Heck, even Smith was good.
