One of the most entertaining games of the year. Carolina plays a bit of a dirty game, got away with a knee on knee and then a nut shot against Brodie late in the game too. Brindamour was complaining about 3 straight PP for us but I mean which one of them shouldn't have been called ? All were legit.

Hope Matthews is ok, the hit looked scary. Good news is he got up and left on his own. Matthews/Marner both dominant once again, these two are playing unbelievable hockey right now, Marner 8 straight games now with at least 1 goal, best stretch of his career.

We really need a depth D man though, Holl was physical but that play was inexcusable. The turn over and then not taking the man in front after. Mrazek looked sharp and made some huge saves to keep us alive early, great game overall just hoping AM34 is ok.

Nylander was awful tonight, he gave the 1st toronto goal but constantly cheating all game long with no effort on defensive side. Hopefully matthews and marner was there tonight but if we missed matthews, we will need more of nylander and tavares.

Great win. Hope Matthews is OK, nice to see him skating off on his own.

Great to see us generating scoring chances in different ways, especially against a top defensive team like Carolina. Hopefully that translates in the playoffs.

We turned the puck over a lot against a speedy team with great forechecking. I’ve noticed the Leafs struggle against two forecheckers, most teams will, but it seems to be something the opposition throws our way every playoffs. I have nothing to back this up, just from memory. Hopefully it’s something they can start beating with quicker breakouts in the future and either burn the opposition on transition, or gas them as the game wears on.

In summary, Leafs are the best. Go Leafs Go!

They guy can't have playoff success in the regular season. Have to give someone credit where it is due. He has changed his game to become a shooting threat, which makes everyone else on the ice more dangerous too... he has also toned down the no look soft plays in dangerous areas. He continues to be very good defensively and effective on the PK. Not sure what else he can do (right now). I get your point about the playoffs, but again, we ain't there yet so may as well enjoy the ride he is on.

Game of the year so far! Great effort. Mrazek was fantastic!!

So many better than normal efforts tonight, but a couple stood out to me in Sandin and Liljegren on the defensive side, and Marner was stellar up front.

Hope Matty is okay, that was quite the knock.

Wonder if Brindamour takes a fine in the post game presser... he was pissed at the lack of calls, and I thought there could have been a couple... but fck'em.

Don't want to see Carolina until the Eastern final and they are beat up a bit. Good team.

Given the amount of times calls go against us, he can zip it!

Shoutout to Mrazek for a solid performance while Andersen was getting showered with praise.

Good summary and +1 on the bolded. They kept babbling about Andersen when it was 1-0 and I kept thinking Mrazek's playing just as good as the other guy. Great win but I'm happiest for Mrazek who has taken way too much grief in these parts - hard to win games when you're injured.

1.) Carolina swarms. I thought our d did well
2.) carolina 3rd goal was an act of god. Of course Holl could have played the net harder
3.) I kinda thought the 3rd goal was a leaf penalty. But then the amount of dives after I question I mean the bunting one the guy should get a fine.

Getting hit at the back of the head can make you dizzy (why it’s illegal) but less likely for Conket

Yeah, I think he just got stunned a little bit by the blow to the back. I think he'll be ok. I caught a puck to the back of the head once (was wearing a helmet), made me dizzy and I lost my hearing for a couple of minutes, but was fine afterwards - this reminded me of that.

Habs are maybe the most well rounded team in the East outside of Tampa.

Penguins always seem to find a way in.

Rangers and Flyers are compete wild cards to me.

Mannn this Cane team doesn’t allow you a lot of time to make a play. Having said that, the boys stuck with it and persevered. Really impressed with the poise of Sandin. Our fourth line was our weakest.
