Sandin and Liljigren has their best games as Leafs at the perfect time. Loved both of them tonight. Brodie and Holl on the other hand were brutal.

offensive side of things Matthews and Marner carried us. Need to see more from the other guys. Tavares has looked lost at even strength and outside of the PPA Nylander hasn't looked dialed in for a while. 4th line was outclassed tonight. 3rd line was fine but never threatened much.

Carolina fires on all cylinders and I think we need another real solid guy in the bottom 6 as well as reliable RD at the deadline to compete with them in a 7 game series.

Nylander was awful tonight, he gave the 1st toronto goal but constantly cheating all game long with no effort on defensive side. Hopefully matthews and marner was there tonight but if we missed matthews, we will need more of nylander and tavares.

I think he’s the only player who has a chance of 50 in 50. Not this season sadly, but he could do it.

It counted today, the regular season means alot to the players, they sure looked like they were trying. But maybe they didn't care and it was just an act.

I think it’s fair to say that there was some imbalance with the officiating, but I honestly find it goes one way or another & we’re lucky as fans to get a well reffed game.

One of the Canes goals I feel was on Holl but other than that yeah he was good.

I can't blame him much for the stanchion bounce, and then when he found it bounce right in front of him, he went for puck (which is not an unreasonable reaction).

He probably didn't even see Stepan behind him before it was too late.

Canes board is complaining about the refs??? If anything I thought there were a few non-calls there at the end for both sides

Seemed to me they called what they had to, the blatant ones, and let everything else go. There might have been a call or two each way that could have been called, but were not necessary. Didn't feel like the refs had an impact on the outcome.

It's truly bizarre how the most random non-noteworthy American teams still have this visceral hate for the Leafs . The Canes GDT is so funny with people just frothing at the mouth with Leafs hatred.

He will be fine troll - I know you were quite happy to see him injured, while our teams are evenly matched an injured Matthews would give your team an edge - and all that crying and working of the refs by Brind'amour is bound to pay off come playoff time. Here's a tip - don't want penalties? Don't trip players. Every penalty was clearly the right call. Now go back to your board and cheer on Leaf injuries over there.
