regardless of what happens with Campbell the Maple Leafs cannot bring back Peter Marazek he has had 3 different groin injries this year, he's played 32 games the past 2 years combined and even when he does play he's awful.

It's at the point now where you have to wonder if his career is nearing the end.

We know that the Devils and Blackwood are open to going in another direction so perhaps there is a fit there.

The Devils would have to find someone to replace him before they trade him

NJ is under no obligation to trade him, even if they feel like he's being a difficult idiot he's still under contract and will be a better option than the AHL goalies that would be replacing him with.

You are not getting him at a discount. Any deal needs to include either a goalie who can step in and provide NHL caliber goaltending in NJ next season, or the assets required to trade for one.

No team is under any obligation to trade any player but there are reports that both the team and the player are open to moving on hence we this thread exists
