Blackhawks / Lightning Prediction Thread

I'm going with Tampa at Chicago in game 6. They strike me as a very good road team in the playoffs (especially after last night) and even though I originally thought they can win in 7, they might be able to shorten it a bit.

Plus, CHIs defense has to wear down eventually. Against these guys, it's gotta happen.

This. Hard to ever count Chicago out but I think it's Tampa's year. I like Bishop more than Crawford.

tampa in 6 or 7. due to their peter pan effect. as someone put it sardonically on tbl board: Hopefully Cooper is right when he says the Lightning might be "too young and dumb" to realize what they're doing.

I think Tampa will put up a really good fight, but I think the Hawks experience will ultimately be the deciding factor. That line of Palat-Johnson-Kucherov needs to step up big time in the finals.

Tampa in 7.Hawks defense has to be tired at this point and the speed of the Tampa offense should wear them down..

Obviously rooting for the Lighting but chose the Hawks in six. This Cup finals can very much go 7 games. On a side note Hawks whole team took a picture of the western conference champounship trophy so i think the Lighting will win.

Lightning in 7.

Watching the Ducks and Rangers lose their game 7s was amazing, now seeing the Hawks lose a cup final would make this my favorite Kingsless post season. Go Lightning!

The Blackhawks have yet to win the Cup at home IIRC. I hope whoever winds up winning can do it at home. Nothing better.

The Kings are the only ones to win at home since the Ducks in '07.

Which explains people giving us crap about not booing the commissioner enough.

I've made that point a few times.

Home fans that have just lost the chance at the Cup will be upset and will boo anything that moves. Of course they are going to boo the commissioner handing out the Cup to the team that just beat their team.

It has nothing to do with "tradition." Morons.

So, why the **** should we boo the commissioner who is about to present the Cup to our captain?

As I said, morons.

I think people (not here necessarily) are really underrating the Lightning's chances. Most of my co-workers are Lightning fans (I work from home in the IE, department is located in Tampa) and I've been keeping a close eye on them. They're very resilient and they have a lot of weapons. Their defense is prone to brain farts, but not any more than say the Ducks. I also think Bishop is better than Andersen. Just because the Lightning didn't match up well versus our Kings doesn't mean they can't play the style to beat Chicago. I'm going with Tampa in 6. I just think it's going to be very difficult for Chicago's top 4 defenders to hold up the entire series.
