This is providing both stay way they are drafting .
Why the Sharks do this : They get a great young Defenceman and lot's of picks to add to their depth
Blackhawks own their 1st , leaf's 1st , their 2nd rd , Dallas 2nd rd , their 3rd rd , their 4th ,Ny Ranger's 4th , , their 6th rd , their 7th rd

Why the Blackhawks do this : They have too many prospects at this point , getting very crowded , so Quality over Quantity. A one year pause on stock piling picks for Kyle D

Giving away nothing and you want sharks to trade their picks?? Sharks won't do this. You have to give to take. Quality over quantity

Aren't these two teams like mirror images of each other right now?

They both have had the last two first overall picks and they're both very promising prospects. They both have a ton of talented prospects in their pools. They don't have veteran leadership.

I don't get why either one of them would want to make this trade or a reverse version of it with the Sharks having two early first round picks.

You want the 1st overall pick for this and you're not even going to include the best piece?

Where would Korchinski go in this draft?
Toronto's 1st isn't high.

After those 2 pieces, you giving up spare parts.

No team would trade the #1 for this package.

I dont think the Shark Pool is as deep as the Blackhawks pool . We all know Sharks need DEEP pools !!

Korchinski would probably go around where he was picked in 2022 (7th)

It's the Sharks whose prospect pool is rather full. They have zero need for quantity over quality

Blackhawks would be trading ALL their picks except (2nd overall) and Korchinski for Sharks 1st overall .
why would the sharks trade for a late 1st round puck from toronto that you have and then a 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick and so on doesn't get you 1st overvall. You have to give up the 2nd overall to convince sharks to trade their pick. lol probably would have to give up an extra 1st. not happening

Lmao this is crap.

And I'd rather have the Sharks pool than the Hawks. So no...we don't need depth.
Yes Incredibly Impressive !!! Ozzy Wiesblatt , Thomas Bordeleau , Tristen Robbins , Blackhawk s are so envious . One decent defenceman , 4 or 5 good forwards and Not much else !!

If the Sharks get the 1OV pick, they take Schaeffer. They need him more than anything any other teams reasonably offers. Now if they get 2nd OV and Schaeffer gets taken, there might be a discussion with a team with a hot young dman stud. I've tossed out Buffalo sending Owen Power + to SJS for 2nd OV to get Misa added to their forward group.

That's not going to happen

Well the lottery hasn't even happened yet. But I see this as classic quantity for quality where the entity offering the quantity doesn't understand the imbalance.

Now I guess if you squint extra hard, you can see the difference between Korchinski and Schaefer to be a bunch of scattered draft picks outside the top 20. But most people, however wrong they may be, see Korchinski as a risky prospect with a ceiling of a #3D and the proposal wouldn't be justified.
