Why would Chicago do this? I would think if it's only to get rid of a contract they would make an attempt to move Toews not Kane. Kane is a top 3 player in the game.

Not likely. The Blackhawks are already an anomaly in that they're multiple cup winners and perennial contenders without a ton of center depth. It's basically Toews and Kruger, and rotating cast between them.

Anisimov
Schmaltz
Rasmussen
Kruger

Doesn't exactly invoke a ton of confidence.

As far as Kane for Hall, Hall's history of injuries and Kane's NMC make it a polite no for the Blackhawks.

Would you be interested in a slightly used Brent Seabrook for Taylor Hall?

Would rather keep Kane.

Hall is an obvious step down from Kane and I would rather keep an elite forward rather than save a $4 mil in cap and get a very good winger in return.

Sounds kind of maddening given what Chicago could use that extra cap space for, but Kane stirs the drink in Chicago offensively.

Kane and Crosby are head and shoulders above the rest of the league in playmaking ability and ice vision. Its unreal how they always see the play and open guys develop before they are even there yet and hit them every time

Hall is a solid, powerful skater who can bury goals, but Kane can carry an entire line by himself. Hall cant

Hall might be an elite LW, but Kane is an elite player, regardless of position.

Hall is not a top 10 forward in the league. Kane is a top 3 forward in the league

I guess it depends on how loosely you use the word "elite"

Disagree, Kane is not elite he's only good because he plays with toews and Keith who themselves really suck but since they play with Kane and pans run appear to good. None of the Hawks could skate for leafs or oilers!

The only thing that would make this happen is the cap going down $3-4 million.

Sign me up. Kane won't waive, and Chicago would probably want to keep one of the top players in the game, but I'm down.
