At the game….looked like we dominated time of possession as it felt like we always had the puck. Does it look different on TV?

That and we are apparently double shit at home.

I mean we've actually played well on this homestand (besides 2 periods against Colorado). The puck just won't f***ing go

A lot of folks overreact to short stretches. Its hockey, weird things happen.

In 22-23 I remember the Devils losing a lot in December while playing great hockey, and people were bugging out on here. And then in January they were winning a lot but played like shit and there was little overreactions.

In short, its hockey

I’m pleased with the period. Terrific PK and defense. Sure, you’d want a goal but if the Devils keep playing like this, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.

lol I was not a happy camper in either of those months. I remember even getting annoyed at the wins when they'd magically pull it out of their asses at the end after playing like shit all game.

The most important thing I look for every season is controlling play and good quality team D play. That kind of stuff is sustainable and can lead to big winning seasons. Folks Overreacting to the Leafs game and the first two periods of Kings this week made me chuckle

Besides the usual suspects was anyone actually complaining about their play then though? Seemed to be more the general lack of finish and Markstrom while acknowledging they were DOMINANT

First minute and a half colored my opinion a bit but I thought they played well. Hawks had about 2 real chances all period.

And the kings are up 2-0 on the rangers BLESS

Yeah, this. Pretty sloppy early but there's actually been some nice defense late. I like watching guys being in all the passing lanes and not puck watching but having sticks and bodies in the right places. Bratt in particular seems to do some really good stuff every game now checking-wise
