OT: Bill Irving Invitational Tournament

I posted this over in the Rangers board, but obviously there's a lot of devils fans in central Jersey.

Friday the 9th, starting at 7 pm, the rink my son plays at, Protec Hockey in somerset NJ is having a tournament to raise funds for their president, who passed away recently. The A division will have a number of players from college hockey, juniors, minors, russian league players, and possibly a NHL player or two.

There's no admission charge that I know of, but they'd definitely appreciate a donation to his fund. There will also be games on saturday and sunday, but I don't know the times. Should be a fun night of hockey for a good cause if anybody is looking for something to do, so come and enjoy some summer hockey

Is protec the rink just off Easton ave? Last time I skated there I saw a bunch of other Devils fans there.

that's the one. I'd say the staff there are 60% Devils fans, and a lot of the kids who play there as well.

yeah, it's a pretty good cause, and it should be some fun hockey to watch.
