Curious what the thoughts are. Was it Panarin-Strome-Fast? Was it the Zucc/Brassard line? I have really high hopes for both of our top lines, especially the Trouchek line. I really think that Panarin could have an all time great Rangers season on that line. Best linemates he's ever played on on the Rangers, and probably the best linemates he played with since Kane. Lafreniere looked like it's clicked for him, kid looks dangerous every shift.

probably panarin-strome-fast, as frustrating as they could be that line up as really strong for a while and Panarin might’ve played the best hockey of his career

2019 Kreider-Zibanejad-Buchnevich is the answer IMO. Buch took off. Mika had the highest G/GP in the league, and Kreider was at a ~60 point pace before getting hurt and then COVID ending the regular season.

Gaborik-Richards-Hagelin in 2012 was very strong. Can't remember who was with Stepan and Nash in the lockout year, but both were PPG players.

Am I crazy or does it look like the current Panarin line has the potential be better. Panarin is flying out there and Trouchek>Strome and Lafrenier>>>>>Fast.

Panarin is flying and Lafreniere seems to have a better idea of what he wants to do and a more attacking mindset.

We know Trochek and the type of opponent he has been, so long as he remains the same, that line is going to be VERY good.

If Laf and Kak complete the breakout, this has to be the best top six this team has had in 100+ years. Right?

Rooney - Howden - Kravtsov >>>

Ed , I cannot believe you of all people forgot Krav looked best in preseason with AAAA dynamo, the Wayne Gretzky of the AHL, the true crowned jewel of our franchise: Johnny 'The mothafu*kin' machine' Brodzinski.

I try to forget but whatever the line was in game 82 2010. Anisimov, Boyle, and someone, I think.

The FLY line was automatic before the Jagr time. It's a shame what Lindros and Fleury went through though.

Since then though, probably that Zucc-Brass-Pouliot line. However, we have 2 lines that could do it. Just hope this team lives up to it and is supremely upset with last year and the greater hockey communities doubts. No better fuel than no one believing in you in my opinion.

Zucc-Brass-Pouliot was the best 1 year line combo. KZB was consistently good for a long time on the rebuilding Ranger teams

I don't think you're likely to see a line in Ranger blue ever top SNJ's performance in 05-06.

That was a one and a half line team
Straka and Nylander would literally waste time waiting for Jagr to get open to pass to him so he could score, often on a one timer (that he said, if I remember right, Gonchar taught him how to shoot)

Zbad is a little like that, they set him up, yet not quite the same thing.

Not sure Panarin can score 54 goals and 123 points. Who the hell can though. McDavid scored 123 points but he didn't come close to 54 goals.

That season by Jagr was insanely good. Panarin is the best player the Rangers have had since then, for sure.

Renney was smart enough to plop Prucha on the top PP unit and watched him rack up 30 goals. Funny how that works, putting a skilled young player on the top PP unit. If only Pru wasn't a twig he could've lasted longer. Never seen a player get rag dolled as much as him and bounce back like rubber.

No Rangers line this season is going to match that line because nobody is going to be Jagr. There's a reason Jagr is #2 all time in NHL points and #4 all time in goals.

Not sure any line has the potential to match the GAG line or Bread Line.

Certainly these are the best top 2 lines we've had since Straka-Nylander-Jagr.

Well I meant point-wise. Would it be realistic to see 34 goals 90 assists to break Jagr's points record? He won't get 54 goals, it's not his game but the PP is even more lethal and his linemates are better than Strome and Fast. Wasn't he on pace for 110+ in 2019-20 with a worse PP and linemates?

Laf - Chytl - Kakko AINEC

What about our famous GAG line??
lines like that don't exist anymore, even the "perfection line" has gotten broken up IIRC, coaches are lame and like to spread the talent. I miss the days of super loaded up lines with cool nicknames. Which was mostly before i was born but I still miss it.
