What's best Finals you guys ever watch? This year's ranks up there.

For me it was '71 finals. Beliveau, Tremblay, Bobby Hull, Mikita. Hawks were up 2 games to nil. Up 2-0 in second intermission of Game 3. Jim Pappin was pain in our side. Magnuson was tough as nails. Bill White and Pat Stapleton a great pair that playoff.

It did not look good at that point. Habs battled back took it to Game 7. Hawks up 2-0 again in 2nd period. Lemaire scored one of most famous goals in Canadiens history. A Slapshot from center ice which caught Tony O by surprise. Pocket Rocket scored 2 goals in 3rd period to win the Cup. Dryden won Conn Smythe.

It was very roller coaster season. Started bad, in season coaching change, mid season trade for Frank Mahovlich. Emergent of Ken Dryden late in year. Turmoil in the playoffs between new coach and Pocket Rocket and Ferguson. Arguably biggest upset ever in NHL against Bobby Orr and the Big Bad Bruins. Highlighted by 5 goal comeback in Game 3.

Ah, somebody else old enough too remember that playoff year. As of few years ago, tv ratings was most watched playoff ever.
The year I became a Habs fanatic. Beliveau's last game, same with John Ferguson. My brother and I were sent to bed after the Habs went down 2-0 in game 7. When I woke up the first thing I asked my mom was "did the Canadiens win"? She smiled and said "YES"! One of my coolest memories.

The 1971 Series when the Bruins were the favourite. Habs eliminated them in 7 games, beat the Stars in 6, and went to beat Chicago in a Game 7 in Chicago. It ended 3-2 with the winning goal of Henri Richard with a couples of minutes to go in regulation.
