Who in your opinion are the 2 best Czech centers judging by their NHL and Best-on-Best international career?
Pick two, rank the others.

SlovakianWasn't Peter Stastny a Czech center?
He represented the nation of Czechoslovakia earlier in his career, and the nation Slovakia later in his career post USSR. I think it's most accurate to consider him as SlovakianWasn't Peter Stastny a Czech center?
True. I remember he was the leading scorer in the NHL at some pointRobert Lang should be an option
I can make a separate poll for Slovak centers.Slovakian
Yeah, it's hard to take this poll seriously when its missing the two guys who are the likely answer.Václav Nedomanský
Milan Nový
Jiri Hrdina - 3 Cups in 4 years, two of which were consecutive...amirite?
Take a look at this list. You're definitely missing Novy, and Zabrodsky and Hlinka are probably stronger candidates than some of the ones on the list.Suggest more centres

HOH Top 50 European Non-NHL Players of All Time
This is the final list of the top European Non-NHL Players of All Time project, as determined by the History of Hockey community at HFBoards. "Non-NHL players" stands for players who spent most of their prime years, if not their entire career, outside of the North American leagues (NHL and WHA)...forums.hfboards.com
Jiri, not JanBest HFBoards user name is at least on that list (dontcry4mejanhrdina).
Oh.. I think you got the names correct. I meant it is a pretty lacklustre list. We are clearly a nation of wings and goalies. If you wanted more names.. I'd add zacha and hertl.Suggest more centres
If you're limiting this to the NHL, you're taking a very narrow scope and missing a lot. This isn't the history of the NHL board, but the history of hockey board. Anything that doesn't consider Cold War hockey in the Eastern bloc can't possibly give a good take on Czech, Slovak, Russian hockey history. The thread says it's all time, it doesn't claim to be post Berlin Wall.I don't think Zabrodsky has ever played in the NHL.
Novy had only one NHL season but yes he can be on the list because of Canada Cup '76
Hlinka played in the NHL only at the end of his career. Was he a significant force at the Canada Cup?
I'm starting to warm up to your posting style. I'm anxiously awaiting a swerve, like throwing Mario Lemieux's name onto the list just for kicks. Or Czech centers like Jan Vesely or George Zidek.Who in your opinion are the 2 best Czech centers judging by their NHL and Best-on-Best international career?

Patrik Elias played center some years.
