For best I’d go Panarin. Best player on the market. Didn’t really think anyone else was a clear cut steal.

Duchene second to me. 8M seems good when you consider the Hayes deal.

I liked the Donskoi move too.

Perry is amazing value.. he is getting paid half of Brandon Tanev for example. Hilarious.

Then you look at Sekera and compare it to the Stralman contract and it isn't even close.

I would pay twice as much to Brandon Tanev as I would pay Corey Perry. You're getting way too caught up in name value and not what these players actually bring to the ice. In 2019, Brandon Tanev is much better than Perry.

Perry had a terrible season. If he rebounds 1.5 million is fine, but it's definitely not "amazing" value now.

Had 49 points in '18 when he was healthy, so 1.5 is good if he can score at least 40. Plus he brings leadership.

As for the OP - Duchene. Thought he'd get closer to 10 due to the lack of renters available. Well done Nashville.

Zuccs contract is 2nd worse to Skinner only.

The Pavelski contract isn't terrible but it's hardly a steal. He's 35 years old.

Duchene for me. It was the only one I didn't roll my eyes at and think overpayment. At least for the "top" guys. Perry is a good one too.
