I've been thinking about this proposal over this past weekend and decided to type it today. As per NHLNumbers, both Kings and Ducks respectively have US$1.5M and US$357K in cap spaces.

Note: all financial numbers are in US Dollars.

Los Angeles Kings receive:

Jonathan Bernier, 2.2M
Negotiation rights to Lindholm

Anaheim Ducks receive:

Brayden MacNabb, 1.6M
Peter Budaj, 600K
Conditional draft pick: 3rd Round pick should Lindholm sign with the Kings; 4th or later if negotiations failed

Well then, feel free to counter-propose.

Umm please tell me that the Ducks drafted some other player named Lindholm and this trade involves their draft rights. Because if this is Hampus Lindholm this offer is horrendus

If Lindholm won't sign with the Ducks with their cap room... how are the Kings going to fit him in?

Wow. This is, uh, bad for Anaheim. I don't think you gave any thought to Anaheim's needs at all.

Edit: Well then, that's all the response I need to see. In the future, please put a little more thought into proposals. This is ridiculously lopsided in favor of Los Angeles. To the point where I'd probably call the police, because I'm pretty sure if Murray even considered this it would be because he's being held hostage.

Those negotiating rights are available right now, for free, to any team. He is after all a Free Agent.
