They are quite firmly in a playoff spot, not sure why he'd be dealt. Plus he seems like the type to retire as a Bruin.

2nd wild card spot, and it wouldn't be shocking if they fall out of it. You can tell by watching them their run is over. Reading posts on the Bruins board, they know hard times are coming.

But i guess it's not realsitic for him to be traded unless he asks for one.

The Bruins are 7 points up on Detroit with 3 games in hand..............barring a complete collapse, they'll be the 8 seed at minimum. Bergeron is going nowhere. Shut this down.

If he's traded Boston is pretty much in rebuild.

Do they have a C to take over once he retires?

Yeah someone close this, not realistic given their center depth and Bergeron worth to the org.

I mean on one hand Boston isn't going anywhere this season even if they make the playoffs, and Bergeron would instantly be the best rental on the market. They'd get a haul from a team like Colorado or NYR or... literally any team with cup hopes.

On the other hand Bergeron seems like exactly the type of player to stay on one team his whole career, and he's earned that for sure

I'd do something like Monahan+ 1st 22 + Pelletier/Zary(I'll let you decide) + 3rd/2nd if Calgary makes it past the 2nd round or Berg plays 100% playoff games? And pray we can resign him for a couple years

Could he be dealt? Expiring contract and it looks like Bostons window has closed.

Has a 3 team trade list.
A lot of rumours around Montreal he will sign there in off season. Finish his career back home in Quebec. Fueled by his agent now GM in Montreal. Gorton there also.
