It was definitely greasy, but it wasn't a very hard shot. The problem is that goalies can't protect themselves like players, because they have to be focused on the shot coming. Their arms and legs are all over the place and so they can get hurt by much less contact than players.
Bennett knew what he was doing. He's a greasy SOB. But the NHL has never really protected goalies very well and I don't think this will result in anything additional.
The biggest losers in all of this, aside from Bennett, are the fans calling Stolarz soft.
I'm honestly confused, to me that hit looked like bennet trying to get Stolarz off his game. The hit didn't look that hard at all.
Does Stolarz have a history of concussions?
