Horrid take. He's been on a 70 point pace (69 after last nights game) pretty much all season.

AS THE SECOND YOUNGEST PLAYER IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE WHILE PROBABLY BEING ON THE TEAM WITH THE WORST GROUP OF FORWARDS IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE!!!!
He should be putting up 100 points all by himself as a teenager. Just like MacKinnon did! Or Barkov! Or Jack Hughes!

He just needs to show that he's good. Geez.

I want Bedard to show me he's not a 70 point winger. That is a 2nd liner in today's scoring evironment. I'm ready to be convinced, but he needs to show me.

Again, the good news is that he's still outscoring the 2023 draftees at the NHL level.

However, how long can you use shit teammates as an excuse?

Jesus H Christ, give him a f***ing break! He is doing that on his own while being tarketed by the best of the best every night! Holy hell Jack Hughes and Nathan MacKinnon took several years to break through with better supporting cast... Maybe take a break for couple of years so he can mature and develop his skills...

So you really havent been watching only just checking boxscores and reading what people who know nothing about the situation!! Nice information sourcess.
I can catch some games. I bought the app but it fails bc my internet sucks.

I read gamethreads so I can see what is going on but half the posts are just shitting on Jones.

I'm probably going to go to the bar once a week for the rest of the season so I can catch something.

Call and get your internet fixed. I can't imagine having internet that is incapable of streaming in the year 2025. Or just wifi hotspot your phone, assuming you have unlimited data, and use that.

When we had to rent while waiting for our house our internet was just awful, like 30mbps and we could still stream a game. I can't imagine anyone having much worse internet than that, but maybe I'm wrong.

Hawks need a head coach who knows how to get Bedard correctly matched up. It’s ridiculous that he’s constantly matched against the number one line. Any coach with experience would try to get him more favorable matchups.

Also, any reasonable coach would just play him on the wing full time. Half the time he isn’t playing center anyway. Just take that defensive monkey off his back and let him have a bit less responsibility and more space out there. He can move to center in a year or two if he’s ready.

Lol. It's our internet and it's only bad for streaming from computers. Works fine on the xfinity platform.
Which means it's bad. That's not "only bad for streaming from computers", as that's one of the least demanding things your internet can do. Your internet sucks.

That's like saying "my car is only bad when I try to drive it".

Bedard is putting up Kane numbers.

Now look at Kane's team vs Bedard's.

Bedard will be great.
Comparisons aren't a great tool imo cuz there all always exceptions, development isn't linear and nothing is a guarantee. What Bedard did last season stacked up tremendously against his peers historically but this year not so much.

I mean Eichel had a better ppg in his draft plus 2 (on a better team but in a lower scoring league). I know injuries played a role but since then he hasn't scored over 82 points in his career.

Svechnikov also had a better ppg (albeit under much better circumstances), but fast forward like 6 years and his career high in points is 69 and that season was one of his best from a ppg standpoint.

Ill be honest im concerned over the lack of development from Bedard from last season and the visible frustration he constantly exhibits. I think next year will be quite telling about where his career is headed.

We agree way too much.

He's putting up the same type of #'s as Patrick Kane(Hawks legend, all-time elite HOF player) at the same age on a far worse team.

Knowing this.....unless you're worried that he's not going to be as good as Gretzky/Mario/McDavid/Crosby("generational" level)....then what is there to worry about? Visible frustration? Really?

IMO it comes off like some of you just want to make stuff up to be worried about. He's been much better since earlier in the season and is coming along just fine in general. Wondering nonsense like "well what if he's like Svech and never cracks 70 pts" gets you nowhere. Its silly.
