It's not because of him. It's because of scheme, coaching, etc.
We had a scheme thay was supposed to be 2 TE heavy and it hardly uses either.

Kmet has a 84% catch rate... that's insanely high. 70 is usually amazing. He has some TE screens which helps that. But he's just not thrown to enough. (Like compared to amazing WRs or TEs, 60s is very good. Moore is at 65 with lots of screens.

It's more of the problem of Williams being told to not try those passes.

I don't buy anything coming out of Silvy's mouth when it comes to his "reports." He's a radio personality trying to get engagement. Garbage material not worth the time it takes to listen.

I do buy things that come out of the mouths of Adam Jahns and Dan Wiederer. In the last week, we've heard (from Jahns) that Poles got a 4 year contract that has not been renewed. Now Wiederer published what can only be viewed as a completely condemnation of Poles, while Jahns published another articles which essentially said that the only positive going for Poles right now is that it doesn't seem like their mismanagement has managed to ruin their #1 overall selected QB yet.

Those are not the articles you expect to see written about a GM whose seat isn't hot.

Until the new GM says Caleb isn't his guy, didn't draft him and round and round we go...

You hire someone that loves Williams for GM and coaching job

There are plenty of people that love Williams around football

This idea that a new GM hire automatically means "William is out, etc" is dumb

Its like saying if Davidson was out at end of year that we must move on from Bedard because new GM and HC will require complete clean slate

Eh, football people are kinda dumb sometimes, and very, very prideful. Putting a lot of faith in Warren and George to get that right. And hockey is super different from football: there's only one starting QB as opposed to 12 forwards.

Damned right. How do you justify retaining the bombastic doofus GM to direct the rebuild of his own "rebuild" that's now worse than what he began with, both in the trenches on either side of the ball and W-L record-wise?

“If I’m Kevin Warren,” one league source said, “I owe it to myself to ask difficult questions about what had been sold to me about Eberflus’ leadership and why (Poles’) vision was so out of whack with what unfolded.

...
Perhaps, the former AFC executive suggested, this is exactly what the Bears need at this high-stakes moment in their history: a commanding leader at the top in Warren who has high standards and isn’t afraid to grab the steering wheel when he sees the bus swerving toward the edge of the cliff.

For anyone who still cares about the season, Dexter is out on Monday. Darnold is going to throw for 6 billion yards.

No Bates, No Roschon, Swift is questionable.
