Bad play, bad throw, that's all she wrote.

Too bad it had to be the Patriots that won, though. I've already seen people toss around the dynasty word, because nothing says dynasty like a decade gap between championships.

Remember last year when many were saying that if the Hawks won 3 in 5 that that wouldn't be a dynasty?

Why run a slant like that. Why not a pass to the out sideeven if you were going to throw. A QB sneak would have been better.

People also forget they messed up the safety chance too.

A bootleg, a draw with everyone spread, a fade route if for some reason you really want to throw it that bad... Anything other than what they did. There is just so much traffic on such short slants like that, that even if the defender doesn't intercept it like he did... The chances of it being tipped, or bouncing off the receivers shoulders pads or hands is just too high. Such a moronic play call on every level, and there is no justifying of it.

I'd be so pissed if I were a player. So pissed.

Juror thrown off Hernandez case

http://news.yahoo.com/mom-girlfriend-hernandezs-alleged-victim-set-testify-065315628--spt.html

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — The judge overseeing the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez removed a juror Tuesday, saying there was evidence she had spoken about the case in previous years and had an early interest in being seated on the panel.

Bristol County Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh dismissed the juror after questioning her individually and closing the courtroom to hear evidence on the matter.

After a closed-door hearing that lasted more than 90 minutes, Garsh said there was credible evidence the juror specifically discussed an opinion about the case, including that it would be hard to convict Hernandez without the murder weapon. She said the juror also discussed several items of evidence that the court has ruled are inadmissible in this case.

"Over the last few years, the juror has expressed an interest in serving on this particular jury," Garsh said. "There is credible evidence that the juror has attended more Patriots games than were disclosed on the questionnaire."

How do all these arrests happen IMMEDIATELY after the season ends?

I saw a Baltimore Ravens player got indicted for animal cruelty already and that underwear shoplifter on the Dallas Cowboys got arrested again, too.

In the NFL the difficulty of your schedule is based on your record the previous year. In other sports it's not. Should the league continue this practice or should they make it the same for everyone the way the other sports do? Why or why not?

It's fine as it is. Only 2 of the 16 scheduled games are affected by your team's record the previous year. 6 of the games are divisional, and 8 are against the 2 divisions that all teams in your division will play (in the Bears case all teams in the NFC North will face the 8 teams representing the NFC west and AFC west). What the last place schedule brings the Bears for the 2015 schedule are games against Washington and Tampa Bay.

Yeah, the only reason they do that is because it's the easiest area to get 2 more games from. Without that, you'd have to use something more arbitrary.

Kiper's latest mock has the Bears taking Shelton

Analysis: Chicago really can't go wrong in targeting the top overall defensive player available at this spot. But while they drafted with the interior of the defensive line in mind last year in grabbing Ego Ferguson and Will Sutton with consecutive picks, they still need to continue to add talent up front and work their way into the secondary. John Fox is a coach who has always looked to build a great defensive line, and Shelton -- an occupying but disruptive force on the defensive interior -- is another player who has the potential to make any team better, because he can make those around him better and has shown he can handle a heavy workload. Teams that are deep up front on defense have such an advantage, and adding Shelton isn't duplicating anything Chicago has on its roster.
