I just broke my Bauer Nexus 7000 last night and I just bought it 2-3 weeks ago. I've only used it maybe 5 times and it snapped above the heal. I used to break sticks a lot in college and return them with the receipt but that was 10 years ago and now I only play once or twice a week so I never break them within the 30 day period.
My question is, how often in your experience do they deny warranty claims? I see on the website it says "IF BROKEN DUE TO A MANUFACTURING DEFECT". I'd hate to go through all of the leg work to get the claim filed, find a box to ship it in and pay for shipping just to have them say it wasn't a "defect" that caused the break and then they don't return the shaft so I'm out there too.
My other question is, if I find a box that's not the length of the stuck, can I cut it in half to fit it into the box or will they not accept it that way?
