Kicking tires here but with the news that Toronto is looking to deal a D maybe this could be a possibility? Isles could use a left hand shot D, Bailey has previous history (and extreme chemistry) with Tavares, and Isles have a couple of wingers who seem too good for Bridgeport but with no spot to slot into.

Both seem to have gotten off to slow starts (haven’t watched any leafs games but seeing that -7 there) Cap hits similar, term the same. Think there could be a fit here?

Muzzin may not age well and may have already started to decline. But like mentioned above. He adds a element to the leafs d core that we don't have a lot of back there.

Muzzin may be a ticking time bomb, but he's an incredibly importnat member of the D core. If he goes, they're likely going to have to spend all $5.6m that he is paid sourcing a replacement.

The Leafs have absolutely no room for a $5m winger unless Marner is on his way out.

I don't think Muzzin will go for Bailey. He is a guy who would play higher in the line up and as a RW he may not get the opportunity in Toronto. Good player though.

Is that how you define the Pelech and Pulock contracts?

They are both excellent contracts

That doesn't mean Lou doesn't hand out some bloody ugly ones however

The man did sign Komorov and Marleau for instance, he isn't afraid to take some risks to win

Which has good and bad aspects to it

You really think Lou is trading Josh Bailey? Yeah, that’s not happening. We can just close this one up here and quit while we’re ahead.

Ah yes let's trade our abundance of physical D for a forward because we already don't have enough money tied up there
