Possibilities?

I know Jack Campbell is not the guy. Maybe Ranford can do wonders. Was a report that Quick was working with him already. Hopefully he excels in Ontario this season and becomes a real backup possibility in a year or 2.

They have apparently invited Finnish goalie Samu Perhonen, #Oilers 2nd rd pick in 2011, will be in Los Angeles as an invitee to development camp.

Interesting. 23 yrs old and has had 3 decent seasons in SM-Liiga.
Anyone know anything about him? Looks like he came over for part of a season a few years ago; 2013-14 in the USHL.

I still think Budaj will be the backup even though DL said it would be outside the system. Now that we have Cambell to expose to the expansion draft so Budaj's one year contract isn't an issue anymore.

I completely forgot about the RFA rule for goaltenders and obviously he will meet that next year.

If they don't sign a significant FA, I could see them adding a better backup than Budaj on a 1-year deal (with no need for a 2-year deal now).
