3x5.5M was offered last season. The Blues have improved on that offer, but not sure what. I would guess they've probably gone to 4x6 on the table. But I think someone else will be willing to give him more term as UFA.

Didn't say we get him, didn't even say I wanted him, truth be known I don't but he still strikes me as a guy Babcock might want.

Personally I want either Okposo Lucic or Eriksdon someone to play with Mathews, give him a good Vet winger.

I'd offer him 19.5m for 3 years to play in Vancouver. 6.5 but short term, it'd be a risk for him banking on he can get another big contract but it's nearly 20 million for 3 years service.
IMHO he chooses a team closer to the playoffs for more term than 3 years and less AAV than 6.5 but more than 5.5.
Right now if a team wants to use him as a centre they may just overpay that 6.5x5
