Lindgren has obviously been bad, but it's not like the guys he's replacing are world beaters. Perhaps he'll benefit from the good old Avs bump. At least he's performed in the past.

Since there is conditions on the 2nd and 4th round picks we traded, this means the remaining 2nd and 4th will have the opposite conditions if we trade those, too... whichever of the 2nds and 4ths are worse, the other team will get, since NYR get whichever are better.

So in your estimation, the best way to improve the team is to waste assets to marginally improve on your number 6-7 dman? Assets that could have otherwise been used to actually address real problems? Sounds like top level team building strategy there.

That’s the Sakic tenure though… they almost always pay one round up in draft capital to what you expect in a deal. It’s been like that for a while.
Not that I’m complaining, they have a cup, but they always seem to pay a little more than you would want.
A lot of moving parts this year and I don’t think they’re done.

Was he worth shrinking our available cap space by $1.5m and giving up 2nd, 3rd(Parssinen acquired for a 3rd just 2 months ago) and 4th round picks for? Of course not.
